FAQs
1. What exactly is virtual production?
Virtual production combines real footage with digital elements — from environments and lighting to characters, effects, and motion — all in real time. It lets you design entire scenes with full creative control, blending the physical and the virtual directly on set. Whether you're placing a product, interacting with digital characters, or building entire worlds, it unlocks new possibilities for storytelling with speed, flexibility, and precision.
2. What kinds of projects is it useful for?
Any project that needs standout visuals with more creative control. Whether it’s a TV show, commercial, product film, or branded content - virtual production gives you the freedom to place people or products into any environment, real or imagined. It’s about working faster and smarter - with fewer limitations, more flexibility, and complete control on set.
3. What equipment and tools do you use?
I work with a RED digital cinema setup, HTC Vive tracking systems, and Unreal Engine as the core platform for real-time rendering. This toolkit delivers cinematic image quality and precise spatial integration between digital environments and physical sets.
4. Can you integrate into production workflows?
Absolutely. I regularly collaborate with agencies, production teams, and in-house creatives. Whether you're building your first virtual production pipeline or adding real-time elements to a traditional shoot, I tailor the approach to support your structure, timelines, and goals.
5. How does it compare to traditional production?
Virtual production can reduce costs tied to locations, set construction, and post-production, while increasing visual flexibility and creative control. While some setups require more planning up front, the overall workflow often results in faster turnaround, fewer reshoots, and a more streamlined process — especially for repeatable or scalable content.
6. Do you work locally or internationally?
Both. I’m based in Germany and often work on-site with local TV and commercial productions. At the same time, many of my clients and collaborators are international. Whether you're nearby or operating globally, I bring technical expertise and cinematic standards to productions of any scale.
7. Do you offer consulting or educational services?
Yes. I provide consulting on technical workflows, virtual production integration, and creative planning — as well as tailored training for teams or individuals exploring real-time production methods. From strategic input to hands-on sessions, I help clients get the most out of emerging tools.
8. How do we get started?
Whether you are planning a production or exploring new possibilities, I am here to support the vision and the workflow behind it. Reach out, and let’s build something that stands out.
